How Does Vision Therapy Work?

Book Appointment

Our Process

First, all patients visit our office for a functional vision assessment. We strongly recommend that each patient has undergone a routine eye examination no more than 6 months prior to their assessment. We do accept referrals from all allied health professionals, although a referral is not required to access services.

If it is determined that you may benefit from vision therapy, you will begin weekly one-on-one sessions with a trained vision therapist. Sessions are typically 45 minutes in length, and patients should expect to be given daily homework to complete between sessions. All patients have regular progress checks with their supervising optometrist to ensure that the program is proceeding as intended.
